Locks, Shocks, & Jocks - Week 4 of the NFL

Locks

New Orleans will roll over the Jets handing Mark Sanchez & Rex Ryan their first losses as professionals.  The Jets will be without 2 starting DB’s and that just spells trouble against the league’s highest scoring team.  The Jets will keep it interesting but not enough for the win.  The Saints keep marching for another week!

The next team is the Giants over the Chiefs.  While the Giants haven’t looked stellar, the Chiefs have looked abysmal since week 1.  It will not take 4 turnovers by the Chiefs for the Giants to get the win, but don’t be surprised if the Chiefs do turn it over that many times.  Look for the front four of the Giants to get constant pressure on Cassell all day and for the running game to go no where.  It doesn’t get much better for the Chiefs as they get the Cowboys next week.  My advise to Chief fans, run for cover the next couple of weeks!

Shocks

Shock number one takes place in New England where the Ravens look to play spoiler.  Brady isn’t comfortable yet and has only thrown for 10 yards in the red zone this year.  That stat doesn’t look to get much better as the Ravens seem to give ole Tom the most trouble.  Baltimore’s ordinary Joe will take the air out of Gillette Stadium and get the murmurs started as the Pats will drop to 2-2.

The second shock is San Diego over Pittsburgh.  The Steelers are a 6.5 point favorite at home, but they haven’t looked that great all year.  San Diego looks to have more confidence in Rivers and they will take it out on the Steelers.  Big Ben will be sacked multiple times and the pressure will take it’s toll.  Look for the Chargers to take the lead in the last 5 minutes because of a Steeler turnover.

Jocks

Look for Tashard Choice of the Cowboys to have a career day against the Bronco’s.  He is the only 100% healthy back the Cowboys have, Barber may be back but in a limited role.  Choice has showed his strength and agility in spot starts in the past.  Look for the League’s best rushing attack to keep it going in Denver.

As much as anyone wants to see Farve right here, he has struggled in the past in the dome.  Against his former mates, who knows what will happen, so I have to go with Drew Brees of the Saints.  It will be easy pickings for Brees and he will have over 300 yards and 3 touchdowns.  Mark in down!
